Travel Tip: How To Say “Please” And “Thank You” In Six Different Languages

Because a little courtesy can go a long way.

While traveling abroad I have found by making an effort to learn some key words and phrases, it can open the door to a smile.

It also shows kindness and courtesy. Take a few moments to say and correctly pronounce “Please” and “Thank You.”  There are Apps and YouTube Video’s that can be helpful resources to consider before your next trip.

FRENCH

Please: s’il vous plait (see-voo-Play)

Thank You: merci (mare-SEE)

ITALIAN

Please: per favore (pehr FAH-voh-reh)

Thank You: grazie (graht-ZEE-EH)

JAPANESE

Please: Onegaishimasu

Thank You: arigato (ah-REE-gah-toe)

Spanish

Please: por favor (poor faw-VOOR)

Thank You: gracias (GRAH-see-as)

Swahili

Please: tafadhali (tah-fa-DAHL-ee)

Thank You: asante (ah-SAHN-tay)

Portuguese

From Brazil

Please: por favor

Thank You: Obrigado/a (Oh-bree-gah-dooh/dah) — use the male form if you are male and the female form if you are female.

4 Safety Travel Tips While On The Go

Here are 4 travel safety tips for your travel within the country or abroad.

When on the go and traveling light, keep your credentials with you.  In the event of an emergency where you may need to leave in a hurry, will you be prepared? Will you waste valuable time returning to the hotel safe to get your documents?   If you have a money belt use it, but in the event you do not this video will show you an alternative when traveling, even on the casual trips or jogging around town.

3 Mistakes I Made While Traveling – That I Want You To Avoid

Shocked Woman1. Not packing an extra bag

Have you ever been on a trip or vacation and enjoyed shopping

but wondered how is this going to fit in my already packed suitcase?

SOLUTION:

Bring along a medium to large tote that folds up and is expandable

2. Not realizing your photo ID was about to expire

Is your passport up to date?

I almost was denied boarding to my flight to New York. My drivers license was going to expire while I was on the trip. The gate agent gave me grace and allowed me to travel but with a stern warning that I may encounter problems on my return flight.

SOLUTION:

Check your Drivers license and or passport expiration dates before you travel

3. Time crunch – late for flight

Have you ever rushed to get to the airport,  your palms are sweating and your stress level is through the roof. The lines at TSA security are long and twisting,  around and around.  Will you make your flight?

This has been my situation on occasion.

SOLUTION:

In view of the recent TSA issues, arrive at the airport 2-3 hours early. Keep in mind traffic, weather, time of year and conditions at your airport as you prepare for your departure.

Young beautiful woman with closed eyes

I want you to close you eyes. Imagine hearing the sound of the ocean. You are on the deck of a luxurious cruise ship and it’s just pulling away from the shore. On land at the pier,  people are lined up waving.

Stress is beginning to leave your body. Finally you can relax in anticipation of a fun vacation.

Open your eyes.

No worries about work or getting the children to basketball or cheer-leading because they are here. Along with your parents, cousins, aunts, uncle and close friends. Why even grandma came in her wheelchair.

Traveling with your family and friends can be great fun and adventurous too.

Happy joyful people group isolated white background.

What’s your definition of fun and adventure?
